Tomb Raider follows the adventures of Lara Croft, after being hired by a powerful union to recover a mystic called object Scion. After discovering that it is being used as mere peon of a great conspiracy, Lara decides that she should discover for its own means, the mystery that houses this old device. A disk Atlas lands in the Earth, where our dear Natla is, her exiled fué makes thousands of years for the bosses Atlases (Tihocan and Qualopec) due to experiments that it provoked many deaths of atlases. Once returned to the Earth, after a great company that founded herself, she calls to Lara to hire her and to recover a fragment of Scion, without more explanations, Lara goes to Peru to recover it, once recovered and to face Larson, this conversation makes Lara think and she decides to investigate, for what Technologies goes to Natla and she discovers that this fragments of Scion, they were scattered by different places of the Earth, this fragments, if they are united it could provoke resurging of a new race atlas inside a great pyramid; the first fragment found in Peru, the second the tomb of Tihocan and the last one in Egypt. Lara should recover the three pieces of Scion before Natla and its henchmen.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS

PC DVD version will be only the Collector Edition, but the PlayStation® 2 version will be the normal and Collector edition. The collector edition will include: a documental with the TR history, past and present trailer collectionun, an art Gallery about the last 10 years of the game, and in exclusive all Sound Tracks from TR Legend and Tomb Raider: Anniversary.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary will release in Sotres to PlayStation®2 and PC DVD June 1, 2007.

PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) version will release end of June.

In 1996 the first video game of the saga Tomb Raider was published. Their design 3D, the controls and the graphic section of the game were really revolutionary for the time. Also, a feminine unique character, Lara showed up Croft, to which the players were emotionally linked immediately. The game Tomb Raider original sold in the entire world more than seven million copies and it continues being considered an absolute classic, as well as one of the best action games and it risks of the history. Tomb Raider defined the games for PlayStation and it changed the form to play to the video games.

 As tribute to these landmarks and to take place and to commemorate the continuity in the development of the frank Tomb Raider and their main character, Crystal Dynamics is developing a new adventure for Lara inspired by the original video game, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary preserves the elements that made of the original game a real classic faithfully.

 Using the optimized resources of "Tomb Raider Legend", their game motor, graphics, technology and physics, this classic adventure of Lara arrives in search of a well-known mystic device as Scion, and you/he/she enters in the current technology offering the players a totally new game experience.

- She takes place and it commemorates the ten years of Tomb Raider and Lara Croft with Tomb Raider: Anniversary, a totally new game experience inspired by the first adventure of the saga Tomb Raider. Tomb Raider: Anniversary uses an optimized version of the motor of game of Tomb Raider: Legend using the last technology of Crystal Dynamics for PS2.

XBOX 360 CHARACTERISTICS

Eidos Interactive Ltd., part of SCi Entertainment Group, one of the world’s leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, is pleased to announce that the latest Lara Croft adventure, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, will be released on the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, initially in the form of downloadable episodic content which will be available for purchase to owners of Tomb Raider Legend on Xbox 360.

 

This is the first time ever that the serialization of a full retail game will be available for purchase through Xbox Live® Marketplace. The game will be available in four episodes; Episodes 1 & 2 will be available in September, with the next two episodes arriving shortly afterwards. A full retail version is planned to be released for Xbox 360 later in the year.

 

The market for digital download of core PC and console games is expected to exceed $289 million by 2010, with Games on Demand services topping $104 million (ScreenDigest). Microsoft’s Xbox Live online gaming network can already boast over 2.3 billion hours of online gaming (this is equal to 95 million days or over 260,000 years) since its launch in 2004. Xbox 360 owners have activated more than 5 billion points (over $60 million) on marketplace with over 135 million downloads since the launch of Xbox 360 in 2005.

 

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary will be available on Xbox 360 – episodically - from September. The Games for Windows® and PlayStation 2 versions have now been released worldwide, with both versions currently at No.1 in the UK and Germany in their respective charts, and No.1 in France on PC. A PSP version is due soon and a Nintendo Wii version is in development.

In order to access Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary downloadable episodic content for Xbox 360, players will require a Lara Croft Tomb Raider Legend disc. The episodes will cost 2400 Microsoft points for all four episodes, and will be released in two separate launches. Episodes 1 & 2 will be released in September and episodes 3 & 4 will follow shortly afterwards. The Croft Manor level will be free to download with both sets of episodes. Additional Tomb Raider Anniversary downloadable content will also become available for purchase on Marketplace to support the launch of Tomb Raider Episodic such as picture packs and theme packs.

TOMB RAIDER TRILOGY

Tomb Raider Trilogy is one pack that contains: TR Legend, TR Anniversary and TR Underworld (this last game doesn't include any improvment).

Tomb Raider Legend and Anniversary were remastered in high definition (HD) with better textures, lights and shadows, and it was available for PS3 on March 25, 2011.

It added trophies, that makes the game more entertained.

This pack was exclusive for PS3 and you can find in stores.
