Croft Generation visit EIDOS Offices to check TR Underworld, they didn't let us record by movie the ingame footage, nor the offices, but, here you have a video documental review about TR Underworld and other TR stuff. We though it would be more enjoyable watching a video than a long document review.

Olenka Review about EIDOS Visit

 

A visit to Eidos was a fascinating experience of a life time. The people that worked for Eidos were very nice and were very devoted on their work. Having a sneak peek of the new Underworld game was brilliant. The way they have fitted the real world in a game is just incredible.

 

The demo of Tomb Raider Underworld is based in Mexico, which is the forth level in the game. Lara has now got a lot more moves which we’ve always wanted her to accomplish. She can now hold two different things at the same time such as a stick and a gun. Basically, I think she can pick up anything we wish for her to pick up. The game is more realistic and certainly more adventurous. Also, once you kill something or someone, they don’t disappear; they remain as they fall like in the old Tomb Raider games.

When you leave her hanging, she does some moments as in Legend. Her eyes moves and blinks like any real person does. We get to use the motor bike in the Mexico level as we get timed and need to be quick before time runs out. While riding and need to do a sharp turn, she uses her feet to hold balance on the ground and also skids and she basically can ride anywhere you want her too. Lara will be having more vehicles in the game but we are not allowed to know yet.

There are new ways on getting up to high places. She can use the stick she found earlier and stick it in the hole so she can climb onto it and grab the ledge above.

While balancing on a ledge to get to the other side, she can either loose balance as in Tomb Raider 5 or lose grip from the weather and instead of making her turn around, she can just make her way backwards without having to turn.

Even while balancing on a pole, she can stop and climb down so that she’s hanging instead and then make her way monkey swinging along.

It is not yet known if her mansion is on fire as it’s just a rumour and also about the horse and bike in her gardens. 

They said that the demo game will be coming out near the end of this.  

The game will be on PC, x360, PS3, NDS, Wii and PS2. The game will be working on windows XP as long as you have enough space and power.

 

We ask about an animated movie of Lara Croft from the games, but it isn't possible. But maybe a second season of Re/visioned could be possible. The same as a third movie is still in process with Paramount.

 

The First Trailer, it's possible that we won't see it until April, they are working hard in the game.

 

As we know, Eidos is located in Wimbledon and it is also known that Lara’s school was located in the same place. The Wimbledon High School is in fact a real place and is a five minute walk from Eidos.
