At The Game Awards 2025 event, two new games were presented: Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and Tomb Raider Catalyst.
Halfway through the event, we were surprised with a CGI trailer (not in-game footage) for the video game Tomb Raider Catalyst, set to be released in 2027.
Following this announcement, they also showed a new remake of the original Tomb Raider, set to be released sometime in 2026.
Both games feature the new Unreal Engine 5.
New content in the Tomb Raider games section
There is a lot of new information about these two games, so I created their respective sections.

Legacy of Atlantis
This title is a reinterpretation of the original 1996 Tomb Raider and takes place after the events of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, in the new reunified canon.
This video game uses the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine and will be released in 2026.
Catalyst
Tomb Raider Catalyst will bring a new twist to the Tomb Raider saga, an open-world game set in northern India.
The events of the game take place several years after Tomb Raider Underworld, in this new reunified canon.
Available languages – No official dubbing for so many countries
One thing to note about these games under Amazon Game Studios is the issue of available languages, it won’t be available for all territories as they have been until now. This is a serious mistake, as it is a step backwards and a lack of accessibility.
According to the official website, upon release, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will get audio and text in English, French, German, Spanish (LATAM), Portuguese (Brazil), and Simplified Chinese.
On the other hand, only text for Italian, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Korean, and traditional Chinese.
Although they leave the door open to the possibility of including these languages, at Croft Generation, while we are very much in favor for other languages support, like Latin American Spanish, we believe that excluding Spanish from Spain is a serious mistake, a step backwards.
So many countries have Tomb Raider games in their languages, such as Spain, Italy, among others countries.
Sign the petition for dubbing into more languages
Therefore, if you agree to convey your dissatisfaction to Crystal Dynamics, Amazon Game Studios, and Embracer Group, we will send them the following petition asking them to reconsider dubbing their games.
We need to make a lot of noise about this issue as soon as possible. We need an official statement about the reason. Could it be because of Amazon Games’ policy of using the voices of its voice actors for AI training?
