A recent PlayStation Blog article, showed new controls and photo mode improvements for Tomb Raider IV-V-VI Remastered. These are the new features:
Flying camera in photo mode
One of the most interesting new features of the new photo mode in Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is the Flyby camera, a tool that will allow players to create their own dynamic and cinematic shots in photo mode. This feature allows you to trace a moving camera path through any scene.
- Place up to 20 cameras along a path wherever you want.
- Fine-tune your shots by scrolling through the placed camera points and adjust various parameters such as roll, field of view, zoom and movement speed.
- Press the play button and enjoy.
Ammunition counter
Another new feature added is an indicator of the ammunition you have left for each weapon, in the original Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation and Tomb Raider Chronicles, it did not appear.
Skip cinemagraphs
Now in Tomb Raider IV-V-VI Remastered, you can skip the cinematics by pressing a button, if you want to go straight to the action, now you can do it.
Cheats
Classic cheats will still be available in the remaster versions.
New controls and animations
- Slide and run: Continue running after reaching the end of a slope, simply press forward at the end of a slope. It works with the Tank and Modern control schemes, and can be changed in the Options menu. This is an unused animation from the original games.
- Hanging from a ledge (backwards): Press the Action button when you are near a ledge behind Lara and she will safely lower down.
- Hanging from a ledge (facing forward): While walking, press the Action button near a ledge in front of Lara and she will safely descend.
- Rotate 180 degrees: While walking, press the Roll button while Lara is standing still to rotate her in place. This move is for modern control only.
