Although it was already known some time ago, today it became official through Amazon Studios, the collaboration with Crystal Dynamics to develop the series and live-action movie about our favorite video game saga, Tomb Raider.
At the moment, the only details that are known is that writer and producer Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), will be responsible for carrying out this new milestone in the franchise, along with Dj2 Entertainment, Wells Street Productions and Legendary Television.
The live-action series will be released on the streaming platform Prime Video (Amazon), and a new movie will be released on the big screen thanks to Amazon MGM Studios.
This project is part of the agreement between Crystal Dynamics and Amazon MGM Studios, which originated through the first agreement with dj2 to develop additional Tomb Raider stories through streaming and film.
At the same time, we recall that for this same year, will also be published on the Netflix platform, a new animated series of Tomb Raider, titled “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft”.
