Writer/producer Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag), Emmy winner for the British series “Fleabag” and films such as “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” will write the new Tomb Raider series and produce it with Dj2 Entertainment, Wells Street Productions and Legendary Television.
The live-action series will be released on the streaming platform Prime Video (Amazon), and a new movie will be released on the big screen thanks to Amazon MGM Studios.
This project is part of the agreement between Crystal Dynamics and Amazon MGM Studios, which originated through the first agreement with dj2 to develop additional Tomb Raider stories through streaming and film.
Lara Croft is played by Sophie Turner, known for roles such as Sansa Stark (Game of Thrones) and Jean Grey (X-Men).
- The premiere date for the first season is planned for 2027, but there is no final date yet. Filming began on January 19, 2026.

Season 1
It is still too early to reveal the full synopsis of this first season; however, the available information already points to its integration into the new unified canon, which includes both the games and the Netflix series.
The production team has not announced the official title yet. Even so, you can return to this section regularly, as we will share new details as soon as they become available.
For now, all we know is that it will take place sometime around the time of Tomb Raider Catalyst.
