In this section, you will find cheats for Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, both for the remastered version and the classics, which can be obtained through trainers or special codes.
Remaster Cheats (All platforms)
Level Select/Level Skip (all systems):
- Pause the game (i.e., open the inventory menu, with Items, Load Game, Save Game, etc.).
- Hold Duck + Look + Down + Action simultaneously, then release.
- Without exiting the pause menu, quickly press Action, Up, Walk, Action, Right, Down sequentially.
- You should now see the ‘Level Skip’ and ‘Level Select’ options in the menu ring.
All Weapons + 10 Health Packs (all systems):
- Pause the game (i.e., open the inventory menu, with Items, Load Game, Save Game, etc.).
- Hold Draw Weapon + Look + Left + Action simultaneously, then release.
- Without exiting the pause menu, quickly press Walk, Walk, Walk (three times sequentially).
- Exit the menu and re-open it, and you should have all weapons, with a good amount of ammo for each, plus 10 extra large health packs.
Classic Cheats
The following cheats are the classic ones for PC (using trainers) and PS2 (cheat’s disc).
PC Cheats
God Mode
Go to CMD and access the folder where you have AOD installed (cd FOLDER_LOCATION). Now type: bin\traod -godmode. Press the Enter key and the game will run, but now you will have God mode activated, so you will have all the weapons at your disposal and the maximum possible strength.
Fly
For example, if you want to fly through the levels, replace -godmode with -debugkeys to activate the debug keys. Here’s how it works: to remove the yellow letters, press the F3 key until they disappear. Once in the game, press the B key to fly. To disable this mode, press Action.
Select Level
Instead of using -godmode or -debugkeys, you can try -selectlevel to select the level you want to play. All of these tools are quite useful and interesting, and best of all, you can combine them! For example, the best option of all is to type bin\traod -selectlevel -godmode -debugkeys and press Enter.
PS2 Cheats
Select Hidden Level
Load a game at any level (except Parisian Alleys) and pause the game. Immediately press and hold the L1 + R2 + DOWN + TRIANGLE buttons for five seconds. After five seconds, immediately press CIRCLE, UP, SQUARE, TRIANGLE, RIGHT, DOWN in quick succession. This is a very difficult trick, it takes a lot of practice and doesn’t work the first time. Once you’ve mastered it, two new options will appear in the pause menu: Skip Level and Level Selection.
Get Double Guns
Load a game that was saved just before you beat the game, in the final battle (you must have plenty of bullets for the 9mm). Pause the game and use the level skip trick. Load the game where Lara is in the abandoned warehouse and play through until you get the first 9mm pistol that appears in that level. When you get it, pause the game, and with the level cheat already done, load the level where you escape from the Louvre. Go to one of the rooms near Carvier’s office and you will find the second pistol. Now you can use the 9mm. The cheat only works if, before finishing the game, you had enough ammunition for the 9mm pistol.
These tricks will only work if you use the same settings that came with the controller, default type 1.
Cheats for both platforms
Infinite Air
Jump into the water and save the game underwater, then load the game and you will have a full air supply again.
Unlimited Ammo
In Von Croy’s apartment, if you don’t pick up the gun first, you can pick up a magazine near the pillar and table, to the left of the gun, infinitely. Also, if you run out of bullets, if you go to where you picked up the last magazine, it will be there again.
Unlimited money and items: Go to any location where you can easily enter and exit and where you know there is money or items to collect (first aid kits and such). If you take them, leave the location, and re-enter, you will see that, as if by magic, they are there again, allowing you to increase your inventory with those items as much as you need. Also, if you are in a room without bullets, and there are bullets to collect on the floor in that room, every time you run out of bullets, new magazines will appear on the floor, in the same place as last time.
Extra moves
- When you are near the edge of a pool with the water close to your feet, press action and Lara will dive headfirst.
- When you are holding onto an edge, hold down the walk button and press up, and Lara will do a handstand.
- Press walk more action to do a backflip and hang from an edge.
PS2 Cheats (Ultimate Codes):
