The website Deadline officially announced an exclusive about the 25th Tomb Raider anniversary, a new Tomb Raider anime series will be release on the streaming platform, Netflix, with the collaboration of Legendary Television. The series will follow the video game reboot trilogy and follow Lara as she explores new territory.
The anime writter will be Tasha Huo (The Witcher: Blood Origin, Red Sonja), who will executive produce with dj2 Entertainment Founder and CEO Dmitri M. Johnson (Sonic the Hedgehog) as well as Stephan Bugaj and Howard Bliss. Jacob Robinson will also serve as EP on this series under his company Tractor Pants).
At the moment, no more news about this series, so it’s unknown the release date, but this year looks great with the Tomb Raider 25th anniversary. The first game was release on October 25th, 1996.
This is not the first time Lara appears on anime series, on 2007 was release on the Gametap website with the name Re\Visioned Tomb Raider, 10 short episodes that you can watch again because the official Tomb Raider YouTube account uploaded on the next playlist.
