With the power of the new generation, and our proprietary Foundation engine, our high octane action moments will be even more epic. Multiple locations around the world will be filled with exploration spaces that are some of the most beautifully hostile places on earth and over three times larger than we could achieve before,” said Darrell Gallagher, Head of Product Development and Western Studios at Square Enix. “Our digital actors will rival CG quality, and after hearing the cry from our fans loud and clear, we will put the tombs back into Tomb Raider, all in our gritty Survival-Action style.

In her first adventure, Lara Croft was forged into a true survivor, but she glimpsed a deeper, secret world. In the next chapter of her journey, Lara must use her survival skills and wits, learn to trust new friends, and ultimately accept her destiny as the Tomb Raider.

Rise of the Tomb Raider builds upon the formula that made Tomb Raider a success, and features the return of Camilla Luddington as Lara Croft. Camilla will take character performance to new heights as Lara pushes herself beyond human limits and is confronted with what it means to become a hero. Once again, Crystal Dynamics is proud to have the award-winning author Rhianna Pratchett as a key member of the writing team, helping craft a story that delves into Lara’s inner turmoil and motivations in this critical second act of her journey.

Collector Edition:

XBOX One Pack

If you’re thinking to get XBOX One, this is your opportunity. Pack Tomb Raider Definitive Edition + Rise of the Tomb Raider for XBOX One 1 TB Edition.

Rise of the Tomb Raider will get an extra mode that adds around 30 hours extra for completing every challenge, and exploring every tomb, crypt, and cave. But after you’ve hit that 100 percent mark, there are many good reasons to revisit Rise of the Tomb Raider. The Multiplayer option this time is different than Tomb Raider (2013), more similar to Contracts mode for Hitman Absolution. Next you can read more about it:

Extra Game Modes:

Chapter Replay: Replay earlier chapters of the story. Complete challenges to earn credits.

Chapter Replay Elite: Replay earlier chapters of the story with your upgraded skills and equipment and complete challenges to earn credits.

Score Attack: Replay levels from the game with a new set of rules. Finish the level quickly for a time bonus. Chain together attacks, movements and collectibles to keep your multiplier high. Complete challenges and collect medals to earn credits!

Remnant Resistance: Replay Hub spaces with a new set of goals. Craft your own missions by choosing the objectives, enemies and more. Once you’ve mastered the mission, challenge friends and the community to beat your high score or play other custom missions created by the community.

Expedition Cards:

In Rise of the Tomb Raider, you’ll earn credits by completing challenges and exploring the world. These credits can be used to purchase Expedition Card packs. When used, Expedition Cards become modifiers in the extra game modes detailed above.

Some Cards are humorous, such as Big Head Mode, while others can increase the challenge or give you special advantages. There are two types of Expedition Cards: Foil and Common. Foil Cards offer the strongest or strangest variations and can be used as many times as you wish. A Common Card can only be used once, and you’ll need to earn more credits to buy it back. Expedition Cards offer hundreds of ways to customize your Rise of the Tomb Raider experience.

Season Pass:

The Season Pass for Rise of the Tomb Raider includes a range of content that will extend your single-player campaign, and also allow you to compete with friends. Three major releases will be available:

Endurance Mode will give challenge you to survive in extreme conditions.

Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, explore a new tomb that houses an ancient terror.

Cold Darkness: Awakened, combat waves of infected predators.

In addition, a steady stream of outfits, weapons, and Expedition Cards beginning on Day 1 and continuing over four months will keep you customizing, expanding, and challenging your friends to new adventures.
