The day has come, a very special day for all Tomb Raider fans, because it was made official today, the remastered versions of Tomb Raider 1, 2 and 3, developed by Aspyr.

Update: Now the remaster version are available in each game section: Tomb Raider 1 Remastered, Tomb Raider 2 Remastered and Tomb Raider 3 Remastered.

First, the exclusive was announced in the Nintendo Direct, and hours later, it was confirmed that they will be released on February 14, 2024 for Nintendo Switch, Steam, XBOX One, XBOX Series X, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms. You can already pre-order it in their stores, but the game will only debut on digital format:

It is great news, which was requested by fans for many years, and finally, it became official. This new version is very necessary, since it is adapted for the new times, operating systems and new consoles where these games did not exist, such as XBOX and Nintendo.

Textures, lights and shadows are improved, and also a new Lara Croft model for these three games, very close to her FMV version.

As a feature, for those who miss the old graphics, they will have an option to enable it at any time, therefore, this version is perfect to replace the old versions, which has given so many problems nowadays.

In addition, these three games are not the only ones to arrive, as it will also be possible to play the expansions of each game: “Unfinished Business” (TR1 Gold), “The Gold Mask” (TR2 Gold) and “The Lost Artifact” (TR3 Gold).

Also, in the PlayStation Blog, you can read that the Croft mansion will be like a central world, we understand from which you can access each adventure. They mention that you must find all the secrets before reaching the final level of Tomb Raider II, “Home Sweet Home”.

You will be able to access the trophy room where all the artifacts and testers obtained during the game will be displayed. This trophy room opens after finding the switch in the labyrinth garden.

Date for the Netflix Anime Series Trailer

It was also recently announced, in the next Netflix event, which will take place on September 27th at 18:00 (Spanish time CET), the trailer of the Tomb Raider anime for Netflix will be shown. The event is titled Drop 01.

The release date will probably be unveiled here, which hopefully won’t be too long, maybe a February 14, just like the release of the Remasters of their three games?

The event will be available for viewing on the Netflix Channel at Twitch, YouTube and the Netflix Tudum website.
