18. Galleries Under Siege
Leave the room and head for the stairs on the right. Go up two more flights of stairs. There is an armed guard in the library. Take him out with the K2 IMPACTOR electric pistol and collect the ammunition.
Continue up the stairs. A scene will appear where Eckhardt’s executioner and his people are wearing special suits and there is gas in the room. Continue up the stairs and take the mask when you enter, because when you go through the door, you will see the scene where Lara can’t breathe and it shows you a picture of the respirators. We have to go there. Even if you have the respirators, take them because you will need them.
There is an enemy on your left. Take him out before he kills you. Enter the door on the left into a long hallway. At the end of the hallway, there is another enemy. Continue forward and climb all the stairs, go through the door, and pass the door on the left. Keep walking until you reach the next door on the right and enter it. In the middle of the room on the right, there is a glass door and inside a display case with two respirators. You can only take one, but you will gain strength. so you can run quickly with the R2 button. In a cabinet, you will find health pills.
Go back out into the hallway and head to the third door. Go through it until you reach the end of the hallway, where there is an office, but you won’t find anything inside because everything has been taken. Go back to the stairs, go down them, and enter the room. There are two enemies there. Kill them and go through the door on the left with the light above it.
Enter the room and a guy will drop down from the ceiling. Shoot him. Go to the right and outside the door. Watch out for another enemy. Shoot him. Go down the stairs and shoot the next guy. Go down the stairs on either side. Go to the end of the hallway on the right. There is a threshold. Enter the threshold.
If you need some air, head down to the right hallway. Go through the door and you will see a bathroom at the end. Your air will be restored. Head out of the hallway and go straight ahead. Don’t forget to use the R2 button to run at full speed.
Another scene will appear where Kurtis and Lara interact. Kurtis is a little provocative. Kurtis even takes the dark paint and runs away, but not before making love to Lara with his eyes (very sensual scene, isn’t it?).
There is another scene where Lara goes after Kurtis and they escape together. Kurtis runs ahead while they are being attacked, and when Lara catches up with him, she realizes that Kurtis is lying on the floor. As she watches him, someone hits her… a familiar character… Then Bouchard appears, helping Lara get to Von Croy’s apartment. Another scene appears, and you will see Lara remembering what really happened the night Von Croy died.
