22. Bio-Research Facility
Walk straight ahead. Go down the stairs into an atrium-like area. In the center of the room by the fountain, you will find a man. He is part of the Cabal, the beginning of a new order on earth. The Cabal controls everything in Prague. He says he will make them immortal. Eckhardt will bring the Nephilim back to life and in return will grant immortality to the Cabal. They have the Cubiculum Nephilim in Prague.
He then sprays Lara with some kind of gaseous substance and disappears. Suppose that the entrance (where you entered) is the south. In the northwest corner of the room are the plants that will hurt you. Behind those plants are the cartridges.
I recommend you go up to the balcony and climb down there so you don’t have any problems with the plants. Go back to the fountain. One of the heads isn’t spraying water. Pull it. Go to the southwest corner, go inside, and climb the ladder. On a metal ledge, you’ll find ammunition and a switch. Pull the switch and open the door that was blocked at the north end.
Go inside and press the yellow button. The door will open and you will now be in another room with some containers, one of which contains an alien. You will see a scene showing a terrifying skeletal man breaking the glass.
Use the weapon to kill the skeletal man and the rolling centipedes. For now, don’t try to kill them, just avoid them because they shoot poisonous darts and you need a lot of bullets to kill them. Do it later from a position where they can’t hurt you. Go to the second level and watch out for more rolling centipedes.
(You will find more ammunition upstairs if you want to take it, but the centipedes will hurt you). Go to the stone stairs, climb up and turn left, continue until you reach a pillar covered with a vine, which connects to the ceiling, with a pipe on it. Jump and grab the pipe. Slide down to the platform above the alien containers.
Drop down and turn south toward the valve. Turn it. Continue to the end of the platform via the broken ladder (north end). Jump over the broken pieces of the platform and turn the valve.
It will show you a scene where a container opens up beneath you. Use the broken ladder to climb down and jump. You will lose a little health. Enter the container and drop into a pool of water. Get out of the water and go through the door.
You appear in a pool. Get out of it and go through the door. Slide down the platform and halfway down, jump to the other side toward the ladder. Grab it and climb up. Pick up the medium first aid kit. Go through the door and follow the path that leads to the stairs. Follow the path and prepare your weapon before opening the door.
You should be at the entrance to the bio-vault. Kill the guard. Be careful not to fall into the water because an evil beast will bite you and eventually kill you. Go across the platform, turn right, and jump to the platform in front of you. Go left and climb a ladder. Go to the fenced-in area of the garden.
There are several collectibles. Go down the stairs and return to the platform at the back closest to the wall. There is a ledge on your left, but steam is coming out of the pipe. You need to find the valve that controls the steam from the pipe. Look behind you and you will see a large pipe on the opposite side of the wall.
You need to reach that pipe. Jump onto the platform closest to the water and closest to the pipe. From the edge of the platform we are standing on, make a sideways jump. Turn around and face the pipe and jump onto it. Take the cartridge and turn the valve. Return to the grassy side of the door area through which you entered the room. Look at the left corner (if you are facing the door).
There is a green plant growing upwards and to the right. Jump up and grab hold of the plant, climb up and to the right until you reach the platform above. You will see a closed door and a ladder. Climb the ladder and go to the other end of the platform. There is a switch that moves a platform.
Return to the main level. Follow the metal platforms upward until you reach the broken platform. Jump across it to the small ledge. Turn around and walk across it to the vertical pipe, climb up, and hang onto the ledge, sliding to the left. Once you reach the top, look toward the water and up, and you will see a platform that moved when you pressed the switch in front of the wall with the grass.
Climb up them until you reach the movable platform. Walk forward. Go down the stairs. There is another staircase around the platform. Go down it, continue along the platform until you see a door with a switch, press it, and go through the door. Press the yellow button and go through the next door.
You should now be in another area, such as an atrium. A scene shows you how the tree comes to life and grabs hold of the doors. The doors close. Go down the stairs. Next to the tree is a pipe with what appear to be two vents that are closed. We have to find a way to get steam out of those vents.
There is ammunition under the platform in front of the tree and the double doors. Go up to the room via the stairs. You will see a lever on the right that is inoperable. At the back of the room is a valve system. Above the valves are symbols. To the left of the valves is a small table. Push the table.
You will see drawings on the wall. One of these drawings is the key to the valve puzzle. As with all TR puzzles, look for the one that is different from the rest (the one with the red X on it). Turn valves 1, 2, and 4, then pull the lever. A scene will show you the gas killing the tree. Go down to the door, which is now unlocked.
Now we are in another room in the atrium. The scene showed a dead man and guards on various levels. Enter the room. Look to the left. There are five levels in this area. A bad guy will come looking for you. Kill him by attacking or shooting him. He will drop a pass. Pick it up. Go up the short staircase in front of you next to the pool in the central part of the garden. You will see a ladder leading to a series of metal platforms. Climb up it.
Continue along the platform and head to the left. There are some stairs leading to the third level. On the third level, there is a blue door that you cannot open at the moment. Opposite it is a series of square platforms. Jump to the one in front. Look down and to the left; there are two more platforms. Jump to that platform and then to the platform in front of you (if you drop down at this point, you will fall onto a ledge where there are some bandages, but you will have to climb back up again). Look up and to the left.
There is a break in the handrail. Jump and grab hold (you can wait for the guard to pass before jumping). He won’t let you through. Turn left and walk towards the circular area. Walk Lara to the edge of the ledge. She will say she can’t make the jump for now. There is a bridge across the room. You will see the blue door. You can now open it. Walk to the far end of the room (opposite the blue door) and turn left.
Jump and hang on, climb onto the platform, you will gain strength. Pick up the large first aid kit. Return to the circular area with the broken ledge. Jump to the other side. Follow the platform to the end. There is a pipe covered with grass. Climb up and slide to the right, climb onto the platform. A scene will appear. Lara crouches down to listen secretly, Eckhardt talks to the guy in the garden about the power being cut. Boaz, a scientist, comes out and says that she did not destroy the Proto Nephilim.
She says you must use the fragment of the Orb. A terrifying spider descends from the ceiling and traps Boaz. She screams that it’s not her fault. Keep walking toward the dead guy from the scene when you first entered. He has a pass. Continue to the edge and collect the ammunition. You need to reach the second level of the platform attached to the round building. We did this by going to the end of the ruined platform, jumping and tying yourself up, or the shorter way, although it takes away some of your life, is to drop down to the staircase below through the broken railing, near where the guard is.

In the far corner, there is a small box. Pull it to climb up through an opening in the platform. Climb up and look through the cabinets. You will find health pills and bandages. There is a door that does not open. Leave it. Return to the water to the room with gas.
Now go up the stairs you saw when you passed through the gate. Go to the top of the platform and walk to the end. Enter the small room. Push another button and exit. On the left is a room identical to the one on the left. Enter it.
You will see a scene. Kurtis has trapped Lara in the room. He says she has made a mess of things. Kurtis says he is going to turn the electricity back on. Lara gets angry.
To leave this place, you need three passes from the botanical garden to unlock the door leading to the Sanatorium.
Restricted Pass to the Botanical Garden
Follow the cobblestone path and take the right fork to find the guard. When you kill him, he will drop his Pass.

Return to the fork, turn right, and climb the steps on the right. Climb the ladder, go to the balcony on the left, climb the stairs, and jump onto the flat areas of the roof, using short jumps. When you get close to the walkway, you will see a section without a railing. Jump towards it, and you will be hanging from the edge, so pull yourself up. Go to the right, where there are some strange plants, and continue towards the tree. Eliminate the guard and continue to the right until you reach the broken walkway. Take a running start to make a long jump that will allow you to reach the Large Med Kit and increase Lara’s strength. Now go back to where the strange plants were and jump on the side that Lara couldn’t jump on before. You will be hanging from the edge, so climb up and go up the stairs on the left and walk along the walkway to the end. Climb the vine, go to the right, and hang from the edge of the metal walkway. Once at the top, you will see the animation of Eckhardt getting rid of Kristina Boaz by pushing her towards one of the creations of Muller, the mad botanist. Then go a little further to find the Pass you were looking for next to the corpse of its owner.
Botanical Garden Half-Day Pass
Pick up the Viper SMG magazine on your right and climb down the vine. Walk straight along the walkway. When you reach the broken edge of the walkway, you will see a guard walking down the stairs below. Hang from the edge and turn toward the vines on the wall. Climb down when the guard is as far away as possible. Once down, kill the guard and pick up the last Pass.
With the three passes in your possession, look for a ladder at the end of the walkway where the guard was walking. Don’t overlook the Mag Vega Charger. Go down the ladder as far as you can and let yourself fall to the ground. Go to the other side of the garden, to the left corner, and use the three passes to enter. When the door opens, go down the stairs. Descend the ladder on the left and, if you have any vents left, use them. If not, it doesn’t matter. go through the poison gas area to the end and jump into the water. Dive to the left, and when you surface, climb the ladder, drag the box to place it under the gap in the upper walkway, and climb up there to find a closed door and some lockers that store Bandages and Health Pills. Now retrace your steps and walk along the walkway, go through the door at the end, press the yellow button, and go through the door that opens. Then go through the door on the left to see an animation of Kurtis trapping Lara.
