After the interlude featuring Kurtis, you take control of Lara once again. Press the yellow button to open the door and enter a room guarded by two machine guns. Don’t even think about approaching or climbing down the ladder.
Climb down the left edge of the walkway and immediately crouch down. now push your chest to the floor and move forward behind the boxes. You will see an opening in the metal wall. Go under it, and at the height of the opposite wall, there is a shut-off valve. Turn it so that the room fills with a blue gas that will prevent the machine guns from seeing and shooting at you. Now go to the pipe on the back wall and climb up it. Slide along the ledge and drop down onto the ledge in the hallway.
Manipulate the camera at the end before entering the next room. You will see two machine guns and a red button with some gas cylinders underneath. Now enter and walk to the middle of the room without reaching the second box, or the machine guns will shoot at you. Take out your pistol and shoot at the red light. Lara will aim automatically, so you won’t have any problems, but in some cases, find the perfect angle or you won’t hit it. Even though I was aiming, I couldn’t hit it. It must have been a glitch or bad aim, hehehe. When it explodes, the machine guns will be unusable, so you can pass without any problems. Go to the door and press the yellow button.
Climb the ladder and go through the blue door that leads to a huge purple pool with a giant mutant fish with a mean face. Go down the ladder on the right and follow the platform in that direction. Now, if you look closely, on that side there is a fence separating the pool from where the monster is. Jump into the water without fear and dive through the opening and pull the lever on the left. Continue in the opposite direction through the flooded laboratory and then up to the ceiling, emerging a little later.
Get out of the water, pick up the Small First Aid Kit from the corner, press the yellow button to open the door, and walk down the hallway to return to the pool. Walk along the walkways to the door on the other side of the room and go through it. When you reach the closed door, press the yellow button and enter the room where you must flip the switch on the right to call the elevator.
Get in and press the button to go down to a lower area. Go through the doors that open automatically and pull down the lever at the end. Return to the elevator, call it, get back in to go back upstairs, and exit again to the pool. Climb the stairs located just to the right and drag the container as far as you can. Press the nearby yellow button to move the container along the rail, go to it, and push it to the right until it reaches the wall of the shed.
Lower the lever on the left so that the container fills with meat. Drag the container to the rail, which will increase Lara’s strength, then press the nearby yellow button to return to the central platform. Now you have to get to the part of the pool with the metal fence that prevented the creature from passing through. On that side, there are some stairs and a bunch of boxes. Now climb the ladder that leads up to a shed. Once inside, use the controls on the right to monitor two surveillance cameras.
Go through the door on the left and walk along the walkway until you reach the edge. Climb up the pipe and go left, hanging from the ledge until you fall onto the platform. You have just enough strength, so don’t linger too long. Press the yellow button to call the hanging platform, climb onto it to get to the other side, and go through the door that opens automatically. Before pressing the switch in the room on the left, enter the room opposite and kill the armed guard. You will see the corpse of a mutant fish. Check the cabinets on either side of the door you entered through and collect a Viper SMG magazine and a Mag Vega magazine.
Go out and head to the right where you will find the switch. Press it to lower the container you filled with meat into the pool. Take advantage of the fact that the mutant fish is feasting to dive fearlessly into the pool. Jump from above into the water and dive towards Number 1. Lower the lever to open a central gate in the pool.
Dive briefly to the surface to take a breath and then dive back down to find Number 2 on the other side of the pool. Go through the hole and swim upward to trigger a video sequence where Lara puts on a low-cut diving suit and presses a button that fills the room with water.
After the animation, lower the lever marked with a 2 to open a second gate in the same place where you opened the first one. Dive back into the main pool and finally go through the hole in the center of the pool. Don’t worry about the creature; it will continue to gorge itself on the meat you threw it and will not follow you.
