The notebook appears. The notebook says: Find Eckhardt’s old laboratory. We need the third fragment of the Orb. Go to the right. Walk to the edge of the corridor and get ready to jump because you will slide down as it is sloping. Jump while sliding towards some platforms in front of you.
Walk towards the center where you fell. Jump over the next column in front of you, but don’t jump too far because you could fall. From here to the one at the back with a lever, you will gain strength. Pull the lever. A scene appears, showing you the door that was on your right when you started jumping. Turn around and you will see a wooden corridor. Go up. Go to the other end and pick up the large first aid kit. Return to the intersection and turn right to where there is a lever.
The next part is a timed event. You have 11 seconds to get to the other side. Pull the lever. Run to the edge. Lara now says: I have strength in my legs. I can make this jump. Jump from this point to the platform in front of you. You need to sprint and jump to the other side, landing on top, because if you hang on, it will take you a long time.
Jump again with Sprint to the next platform and pass through the door before it closes. You will now be passing through a cave. Reach the end of it and jump to the left, taking the ladder to the platform above. Climb up to the next level. The wooden bridge is broken in half.
Jump easily toward it with the sprint jump. The view will show you that the end of the bridge is slanted. You need to jump onto the small wooden platform that is in front of it, above and to the right. Slide and press jump, grab the edge, and climb up.
Push the lever and the flames on the two statues on either side of the door will go out. Fall onto the stone platform below. Jump onto the stairs and go up. A scene will show you the doors opening with fire. Walk through the open door. (The emblem on the door has a lion’s head.)
Eckhardt’s Lab
The end of the corridor is sloped, but there is a small stone platform on the left. Slide and jump to land on the platform. Then walk to the edge on the right and jump forward to land on the last row of spikes on the other side of the pit. You may lose a small amount of health with this move. Follow the corridor down to a room. Enter. This is Eckhardt’s laboratory. On the left is a lever; pull it. A grate in the floor opens.
Two knights attack you. Throw them into the pit that has just opened up, or avoid them. Climb the green ladder behind you to reach the wooden platform on the second level, heading toward a bookcase on the right. Go behind a machine and under a platform, where you will find a first aid kit. Turn around and you will see a table with the alchemist’s potion of purified oxygen on it. Return to the ladder leading to the two levels. You will be on the third level of the room. Walk toward the obelisk and place the vial on it.
There is a large first aid kit on the wooden shelf above. If you want to take it, there is a break in the handrail at the back of the obelisk. Jump from wood to wood, get up, and go left to get your first aid kit.
Return to the ladder you climbed to reach this level. Position Lara so that she is facing the ladder, then jump backwards to reach the cage, or turn around and jump forwards. Walk onto the cage and a door will open. Jump down and take the alchemist’s potion (purified hydrogen).
The cage will begin to move downward. You have little time to escape. Position Lara so that she is facing the edge of the cage, then climb up and to the left and out of the cage. Turn to the walls; there is one with an open cubicle. Enter it. Take the alchemist’s potion (purified salt).
Exit the opening by climbing up to the edge. Climb onto one of the walls and when you reach the edge, jump backwards outwards; one side is shorter than the other so you can get out. Go to the bottom of the obelisk and place the potion.
Go down and head to the circular room with a pool at the other end of the obelisk and place the last potion in its place. You will see a scene showing water flowing through a channel in the center of the room that leads to the pool. Jump into the pool and at the bottom you will find the fragment of the Orb you came to find.
You will see a scene showing the barred door of the laboratory opening. Get out of the water, go to the door, and go through it. Slide to a door and open it. You are in a cavern with some facilities. Go to the center of the room. You will see a scene where Eckhardt puts the magical metal symbols together to revive the sleeper. He tells Lara that she is still alive and that she is resilient. He is immortal and steals pieces from bodies to create the sleeper.
Eckhardt. Final Encounter
Defeating Eckhardt is quite simple. You don’t need bullets, just first aid kits. You are in a circular room with pillars around it and three levels of stairs above. In the center of the room, up to the ceiling, is the sleeper, waiting to be brought back to life.
Surrounding this room is a translucent blue wall that electrifies you if you touch it, and behind it is Eckhardt, firing his rays at you. Eckhardt tries to kill you with bursts of energy: electricity and fire. To avoid being damaged, simply throw yourself to the ground in a prone position and crawl around the circle in the center. After firing his rays at you six times, he will create three copies of himself, one by one, enveloped in light.
You will see that these three copies come together in the circle in the center of the sauce and are enveloped in fire, becoming one. Lightning bolts will appear, and wait for them to disappear. Walk up to Eckhardt and kick him. You will see a scene where Lara stabs him with the first fragment of the Orb.
Eckhardt is lifted off the ground with a wounded light and reappears outside, behind the translucent wall. Do this once more and you will see the scene where Lara stabs Eckhardt with the second fragment of the Orb.
Do the trick again and you will see another scene. Once you have seen the animation:
Walk over to Eckhardt and take an object from his side. It is Eckhardt’s glove with a kind of disc, a glove of immeasurable power in the right hands.
Facing Eckhardt, run to the pillar on the left and behind it you will see a place where Lara will place the glove, keeping the disc that was attached to it. Climb the stairs on either side of the room. Watch out for Karel because if his laser ball hits you, you will fall down the stairs, so it’s best to wait for him to pass by you and then climb up. Run across this platform again until you see the stairs leading to the second level.
Wait near the stairs until Karel passes by, then start climbing. Once you reach the platform, run to the left until you find a staircase at the back of a pillar to climb to the third level. Run to your left again. There will be a platform on your right where you will see the sleeper.
Jump from where you are toward the sleeper and a final scene will appear, indicating that you have completed the game.
