9. Louvre Storm Drains
Lara is now wearing camouflage pants and carrying a backpack. She takes an energy bar. She climbs the stairs on the left and takes a large first aid kit. She continues through the flooded pipe until she sees a large room with a waterfall in the middle. This is the main room. To the right of the drains is a vertical pipe.
Climb up the pipe to a ledge and walk to the left until you reach a switch. Flip the switch and you will see the scene where a fan stops.
Climb down carefully, pass through the two large drain pipes, and enter the tunnel on the left with a grate on the floor. Go through it and halfway down you will see a corridor with a staircase on the right. Climb it and activate the fan twice. This improves the energy so you can pass to the other side of the corridor. Lara says: I have enough strength to activate the valves!
Inside you will find some explosives. Continue down the hallway and you will find a room with valve 1. Activate it and you will see a film in which the control center turns on a green light. Return the way you came, cross the fan, go down the stairs, and return to the main room.
Climb back up the vertical pipe to the ledge with the switch. Carefully walk across the yellow-and-black beam located beneath the water flow. At the end of the beam, you’ll find Valve 2—activate it and you’ll see the second light turn on in a film. Walk to the end of the metal ledge.
There’s a ladder above you. Jump up and grab onto it. Climb onto the metal ledge, walk to the edge, and get on another ladder. Hang from the pipe that crosses the area and you’ll reach Valve 3. Hang again from the horizontal pipe and drop halfway down onto a beam. Walk along it until you reach a narrow hallway.
There’s ammo in this hallway. Drop down into the main room. Dive into the water pool. Swim straight down, turn left, then right, and now head upward.
There should be a yellow fence. Swim to the back side of the fence and climb onto the metal ledge. There’s a horizontal metal pipe above you. Grab onto the crossing pipe and drop carefully onto the beam.
Walk to the left and turn Valve 4. Carefully return to the beam, and halfway across, turn left and jump to the broken ledge in front of you. Climb up and drop onto another ledge. Walk across it until Lara says: ‘I think I can make this jump!
Jump to the ledge ahead and turn Valve 5. Jump back to the previous ledge and look for the drain pipe on the left—enter it by crouching. Walk to the end and slide down the hole that leads to the main room. You’ll come out where the broken fan is, facing the main room.
Cross over and enter the tunnel directly in front of you. Go through it, and on the left you’ll find a door. Cross the hallway and pick up the ammo. In this room, you’ll find Valve 6—activate it and you’ll see a cutscene where the final button lights up and the water flow stops, revealing the tunnel behind it that you need to head toward.
Return to the main room and climb back up the vertical pipe to the ledge next to the drain pipe where the water was originally flowing out. Walk downward and climb onto the raised drain pipe. Open the door and walk into a large room. When you reach the far end, Lara says: ‘I can smell fuel—I’d better be careful!
Drop down—there’s a water pool in front of you. Head right along the beam. Lara says: ‘This is really confusing, I’d better check the map.’ Take a look if you have it. Place your bomb on the oil barrel. Lara says again: ‘Dive, girl! Dive!’ Quickly turn around and jump into the water before the bomb explodes.
Head to the left. Enter the drain pipe—you’ll need to be a strong swimmer to make it through. Swim straight into the pipe. Take the second tunnel on the left. Exit the water and go through the tunnel on the left, and you’ll now see the burning room from above. Drop down onto the concrete hallway. Facing the center, go to the right. Climb the ladder. Cross the concrete platform and descend the ladder at the end of the platform.
While climbing down the ladder, halfway through, jump backward over the fire. Climb the ladder before the next fire, follow the hallway, hang and drop down to avoid the flames. Keep walking and you’ll reach a blue room—this is a vent. Enter it, and now you’re in the basement of the Louvre. Head to the left and move on to the next level…
